Interpretation on "I brain ODTU"- Revised

                      INTERPRETATION ON "I BRAIN ODTU"

The new slogan about METU is quite effective I think. The words of the slogan are really encouraging and chosen very carefully. Ideas that it has also really encouraging.  By investigating and reasoning rather than  satisfying with the existing knowledge, METU members show their potential.They create new ideas and share them and implement. Thinking critically of every extent of life makes difference pretty well so I believe METU carries out all of the mentioned ideas. Furthermore, the visualization of the video is sharpened with mostly red colour. It takes attention of audience so it is effective as well. However, single speaking both effective and ineffective while considered people’s preference to variety. I mean for some people this is the best while for some it is not. I hope that if the speech was spoken in a group or showing short videos from University’s campus or places such as laboratories or conference room could be more effective. From another point, I liked the phrases being used.  Hence, I liked the slogan.

IDEAL UNIVERSITY

Everyone or student want to be educated in a good university. My ideal university has certain criterion as following:
Firstly, it should be known that is it should be popular among universities.
Secondly, my ideal university should own advanced education system.
Thirdly, the teachers of the university should be professional ones on their branch.
Fourthly, when I graduated from that university I must find both good and stable career.
Fifthly, I should be satisfied with all of facilities which I experienced.
Finally, the students of the university should be friendly, helpful and skillful.
Also, the appearance of the university should be beautiful, comfortable and achievable. Overall, all of the characteristics fit to METU so I like it very much. Just one thing that I had not liked is METU’s location. My friends and brothers said that there is no sea or place to travel at leisure times in Ankara. Yet, my father and grandfather said that your university is located in the capital city and it is the prestige. Anyways, I love METU and all in it.

To me first being abroad and then being in such a university are my dreams which I dreamt at high school. Being a student in METY means to me having lots of chance and opportunities to access to my goals. This university provides lots of facilities to advance on your branch or even on your interested fields. It could be dancing, playing with instruments, photographing, professsioning on sport activities and many other social activities. Considering my own career I would continue that almost without difficulties because of the education this university gave me. I am very  happy and hope I will still happy. In addition to all METU is the international university so here we could experience or learn many cultures. For example, I have learned many things relative to Turkish culture which I had not been trained such as having three kind of meals in a dinner. Of course,there are some challenges with many satisfying things. Actually, I do not have lots of challenges but I have at least one or two. To illustrate, finding the right place when you need could be one of them. I have lost whole a day when I wanted to enter is100 proficiency exam. I could not get the place when registered so I need have to go and take. Yet, I had no idea where I need to go. Then I went first to Student Office Center then to Computer Center so the latter  one’s employee said me that I need to go to the Informatics Instituition. Finally, I was able to find the right place and get my exam place. Such things happen all the time so I just ask around and cope with those problems. Hence, I am satisfied and I like being at METU.
